The Americas

I am a huge fan of travelling in America and I am particularly fond of California, having been lucky enough to go there a few times. Even luckier still, some of my friends with the best restaurant repertoires live there too and have been the most brilliant tour guides over the years.

I can still remember my first ever stack of Blueberry pancakes...sitting in wonder in a blue and cream trim diner in Santa Barbara thinking 'so that's what butter should really taste like.'

I should also point out that America is the birthplace of Dr Suess and if Mr Winnie the Pooh taught me to love honey, then Dr S's 'Green Eggs and Ham' was most definitely the start of my love affair with breakfast.

I have barely scratched the surface of South America, but it is a lifelong fascination on mine and I hope to add my personal recommendations as and when my mastercard allows, and inbetween will continue to nag my friends to add their recommendations too.
